My sister Julie was here visiting last week. She mentioned that she grows increasingly nervious when she sees no new posts in this space. She had figured that if JSP and I were not writing, that signified that things were going poorly. After staying with us for the week and seeing up not write anything on the blog, but still being in good spirits, she came to another conclusion, one that I want to share with you dear readers.
Time passes peacefully from one day to another when there really is nothing to tell. Seeing that in effect, Julie came to the conclusion that when there is nothing new posted here on the Both Of Us blog, that things are actually going pretty well for us. I wanted to pass that on to you, just in case you experience similar feelings of dread when there are no updates here for one or more weeks.

Glad to hear that b/c I sometimes have the same worry. I am also very glad you are not feeling ill after round 2.
No updates are good then...It was good to see you my friend...next week again? Would you be interested in a dinner at Tanpopo on Tuesday eve, the day before we close on our property? Love you.
What amazing courage and insight you have. I stumbled on to your blog through some "random" clicks. We never know how, when or why something about our lives will impact another. You touched me with your great creativity as you related how you deal with Sleep and Pain. My petty tyrant is Fear. And, I doubt that I will ever have the eloquence or courage to write about my journey with as must honesty and humility as you. I don't know you, but you helped me. Thank you. I realize hope is a loaded word for you right now, but you even though you may think hope isn't there, it is when you share the gifts of who you are.
JB and Jason--how fortunate I am to have you two guys as friends. Although you were much missed at festival last month, your spirits and energy were much present. I, too, am heartened by the hope that you continue to present, JB. You are such an inspiration to me, in the midst of your fears. We elders are to be an inspiration to you young men. Well, you certainly bring a courage and rigor that inspires this elder! Many blessings, my dear(s). Hugs and prayers.
Hey sexy... Miss seeing you, your often in my wondering thoughts and always in the shadows of my mind. As you know, my mind may not be as sharp as it once was in reguards to yesterdays events, however my memories of long past are as clear as if they happen yesterday. I miss you and I love you. Keep fighting and together we'll make sure it will be OK while playing games with the monsters in the darkness.
Love,

hello to you both.. i wanted to introduce myself.. I came across this post as I followed your link off the Kickstarter site where you had donated to the Backyard Harvest program.. I work with that program, and am a nature lover, pagan and gay man as well.. as I read over your story here on this blog, my heart opened and I was compelled to drop a line to offer you love and well-wishes, though be it from a total stranger. I also am saddened by the passing of your dear cat companion of so many years.. i am sure there are mice in the afterlife.. ;-)
blessings,

Thanks to everyone who reads and especially to those of you that take a few moments to comment. It is empowering to hear that one's words are heard and that taking some time to chart the ongoing stories of our lives and deaths is meaningful to others, some as near as the next block and others as far away as other continents.
I will try to write more. As things get more difficult, they will clearly be just as heartfelt.
JB-
