How do I verify BøthOfUs is a legitimate program?+
BøthOfUs has run scale-up programs for 9+ years, supporting 573+ organisations and mobilising €40M+ directly and through our referral network, delivered together with regional partner organisations. Our work with Climate-KIC, Erasmus+, EIT HEI, UN-Habitat, UNICEF, UN Ocean and Sea Affairs and URBACT is independently verifiable, including named work with IEC Abroad, BDIH and UNICEF Botswana, 4IRI and the SEDA ministry in South Africa, and 17 EU municipalities — see the case studies above. We encourage due diligence before applying, and we will never ask for a commitment fee before a shortlisting decision.
How can the program cost so little if it delivers this much?+
BøthOfUs receives cascading funding from EU institutions and partner foundations to run this program. Your commitment fee covers a small share of the real cost — the rest is underwritten by our institutional funders.
What does the commitment fee cover, and is it the only cost?+
The fee is one-time and scaled to your organisation's size: €390 to €490 for small businesses, €490 to €800 for medium businesses, and €800 to €2,200 for corporate and multinational organisations. It covers the full program — workshops, bi-weekly follow-ups, and priority access to the digital transformation grant — and is confirmed only after your organisation is shortlisted.
What is the Digital Tools Grant, specifically?+
It's a co-fund. BøthOfUs contributes toward the digital tools your organisation already needs — website, app development, digital marketing infrastructure — meaningfully reducing what you'd otherwise spend.
Who can't apply?+
The program isn't for pre-revenue projects, ideas without traction, individuals without a registered organisation, or early-stage pilots with no track record. It's built for organisations already generating revenue or recurring institutional funding.
How are organisations selected?+
We assess alignment with UN SDGs, founder's mindset, internationalisation potential, willingness to raise funds, team internationalisation, and current revenue generation. Any sector is welcome — we assess substance, not category.
Is this affiliated with, or funded by, the EU or UN?+
BøthOfUs is co-funded by EU programs such as Climate-KIC and Erasmus+, and partners with UN agencies including UN-Habitat, UN Ocean and Sea Affairs, UNICEF and UNDP. The program itself is funded by BøthOfUs' investors, founders and partners.
What happens after I'm selected?+
You sign the NDA, pay the commitment fee, and are introduced to your regional program officer. From there: a first workshop, a baseline report, bi-weekly follow-ups, and work through modules covering capacity building, funding applications and digital presence.
